Divisions/Weight Classes:

Elementary School

  • Ages 11 and under
  • Co-Educational (Folkstyle)
  • 58, 63, 68, 73, 78, 83, 88, 93, 98, 108, 123, 163

Middle School

  • Enrolled in grades 6-8
  • Co-Educational (Folkstyle)
  • 73, 78, 83, 88, 93, 98, 103, 108, 115, 123, 131, 139, 148, 160, 183, 238

High School

  • Enrolled in grades 9-12
  • Separate divisions for Boys (Folkstyle) and Girls (Freestyle)
  • 7th and 8th graders may compete in their respective High School Division, but may NOT compete in both Middle School and High School Divisions
  • Girls may compete in BOTH High School divisions
  • Boy's High School: 109, 116, 123, 129, 135, 141, 148, 155, 163, 173, 185, 198, 223, 288
  • Girl's High School: 106, 111, 118, 126, 133, 142, 151, 163, 175, 198

Weigh-in/Skin Check Details:

  • Two opportunities: Friday (9/7) from 6-9pm OR Saturday (9/8) 7-8am
  • Wrestlers must be clean-shaven (if applicable), nails clipped, and long hair properly covered
  • Singlets are NOT required for weigh-ins, but you MUST wear suitable undergarment(s)

Elementary Tournament Details:

  • Doors will open at 7am, wrestling will begin at 9am sharp
  • Brackets will be double elimination, with wrestle-backs to 6th. Competitors who lose their first two matches will have an opportunity to REQUEST a 3rd match
  • Brackets will NOT be seeded
  • FOLKSTYLE
  • The Elementary School division will be run on at least 2 mats
  • College out-of-bounds (including scoring back points and falls)
  • Headgear is REQUIRED for the Elementary School Division.
  • Mouth guards are required for wrestlers with braces.
  • Minimum rest time between matches is 15 minutes
  • 3 - 1:30 minute periods
    • Overtime: 1-minute sudden victory starting in neutral; 30-second ultimate ride-out (first to score in regulation gets choice)

Middle School/High School Tournament Details:

  • Doors will open at 7am, wrestling will begin at 9am sharp
  • Brackets will be double elimination, with wrestle-backs to 6th. Competitors who lose their first two matches will have an opportunity to REQUEST a 3rd match
  • Brackets will NOT be seeded
  • FOLKSTYLE
  • The High School division will be ran on 6 mats, while the Middle School division will be ran on 3 mats
  • College out-of-bounds (including scoring back points and falls)
  • Headgear are RECOMMENDED but NOT required
  • Mouth guards are required for wrestlers with braces
  • Minimum rest time between matches is 15 minutes
  • Men's Matches: 3 - 1:30 minute periods

Girls Tournament Details: 

  • Doors will open at 7am, wrestling will begin at 9am sharp
  • Brackets will be double elimination, with wrestle-backs to 6th. Competitors who lose their first two matches will have an opportunity REQUEST a 3rd match
  • Brackets will NOT be seeded
  • FREESTYLE
  • The Women's tournament will be ran on 1-2 mats depending on the number of competitors 
  • Headgear are RECOMMENDED but NOT required
  • Mouth guards are required for wrestlers with braces
  • Wrestlers must have clipped nails
  • Minimum rest time between matches is 15 minutes
  • Women's Matches: 2 - 2 minute periods with 30 second break

Awards:

  • Top (3) Place-Finishers at each weight class will receive medals
  • Top (4) Place-Finishers in the Men's High School Division will earn Early Entry for the Super 32 Tournament October 27 - 29th in Greensboro, NC
